Grief & Loss

After learning about this at our initial consultation, I’ll recommend methodologies that will best help you to achieve the goals you’ll set. Whilst I integrate tools and techniques from each of the methodologies listed below, I always utilise scientifically proven techniques.
- Person-Centred Counselling – this approach facilitates your personal growth and relationships by allowing you to explore and utilise your own strengths and personal identity. I support this process, providing vital support to you whilst you make your way through this journey.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – the goal of ACT is to help you create a rich and meaningful life, while accepting the pain that inevitably goes with it. ACT is about taking effective actions guided by your deepest values and being fully present and engaged.
- Solutions-Focused Therapy – focuses on your present and future circumstances and goals rather than past experiences. In this goal-oriented therapy, the symptoms or issues bringing a person to therapy are typically not targeted. Rather you’ll develop a vision of the future and I’ll provide you support to determine the skills, resources, and abilities needed to successfully achieve your goals.
