Hello, I’m John Belchamber a counsellor based on the Sunshine Coast offering in-person and online counselling and training services.
I am a skilled professional counsellor with over 25 years of people development experience in training, coaching, consulting and psychometric profiling. I support adolescents, adults and couples in achieving their desired outcomes. I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association.
Developing a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients is the key to successful counselling. I help clients work through life’s challenges in a nurturing, non-judgemental, safe space so that they can live the life that they choose. I believe that every client can achieve the outcomes they desire and that my role is to sit with them, understand where they are today and help them decide where they would like to be. Once his clients are clear on this, I help them to use the strengths and resources they already have and develop new skills that they may need, in order to achieve their life goals.
In my practice, I use my extensive professional and life experience, as well as counselling qualifications and training. I use a pluralistic approach drawing from modalities including Person-Centred Counselling, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solutions Focused Therapy to ensure that the counselling process suits the style of each client and, the goals they have for counselling. If you are finding life is less than you would like it to be, take the first step in realising your potential and book your appointment with me today. I’m here to hear you!
